Salary Range : $47,955 - $61,878 annually. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications. This position is Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

Summary
The Administrative & Engagement Specialist provides administrative, wellness, community engagement, and communications support for the Department of Public Safety. This position assists with department events, wellness initiatives, manages social media communications, provides HR and finance process support, and ensures smooth day-to-day administrative operations. The role requires strong organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to work collaboratively across the department and university.
Essential Functions
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to :
Community Engagement & Events
Coordinate DPS events, recognition ceremonies, community engagement activities, and assist with crime prevention program logistics.
Wellness & Employee Engagement
Assist with department wellness initiatives, such as morale / recognition programs, employee appreciation activities, and wellness-focused events.
Communications & Social Media
Develop, publish, and monitor content for DPS social media accounts.
Administrative Support
Manage scheduling, calendars, and meeting preparation for DPS leadership.
HR & Personnel Support
Assist with onboarding and orientation for new employees and student staff.
Financial & Administrative Support
Process invoices, purchase orders, procurement card transactions, and expense reconciliations in compliance with university policies.
Other Duties
Collaborate with other DPS units to support department goals.
