Security Officer - Government Facility - Full Time

As a Security Officer in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for all individuals on site. Your presence and routine patrols help to deter security-related incidents, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and clear communication fosters a welcoming atmosphere. Pay Rate : $18.02 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Fri 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Sat 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Sun 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while performing assigned duties.
  • Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site-specific protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and / or any security-related matters encountered during the shift.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
