CNC Swiss Machinist – Bellwood, IL

Contract-to-Hire | $28–$36 / hr | 1st or 2nd Shift

We’re seeking an experienced CNC Swiss Machinist for a precision manufacturing facility located in Bellwood, IL . This is a hands-on machining role offering strong growth potential and the opportunity to work with advanced Swiss-style CNC equipment in a quality-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

Operate and set up Swiss-style CNC machines (Tsugami, Star, Citizen, etc.)

Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Perform part inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges

Troubleshoot issues to ensure parts meet exacting quality standards

Work independently and contribute to a culture of precision and excellence

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves :

2+ years of experience operating and setting up Swiss-style CNC machines

Strong blueprint reading and inspection tool skills

Mechanical aptitude and solid problem-solving abilities

High school diploma or GED (technical training a plus)

Nice-to-Haves :

Knowledge of G-code or CNC programming basics

Experience in aerospace, medical, or hydraulic manufacturing

Familiarity with routine machine maintenance

Position Details

Type : 6-month Contract-to-Hire

Pay : Upper $20s–mid $30s / hr (up to $36 / hr DOE)

Shifts : 1st or 2nd

Location : Bellwood, IL
