We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Afterschool Counselor to join our team at the YMCA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children in our afterschool program. This role involves supervising activities, assisting with homework, and fostering positive relationships with children and their families.

Key Responsibilities :

• Supervise and engage children in various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Assist children with homework and provide academic support as needed.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate recreational and educational activities.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages social interaction and teamwork.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized program space.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive program experience.
