A day in the life

You start your shift reviewing inbound units : carefully inspecting rail motors and gears, documenting every finding, and planning repairs. You’ll set up jigs, operate cranes and lifting devices, interpret schematics, mechanical drawings, diagrams, assembly procedures, work orders, and BOMs, then dive into mechanical disassembly and reassembly. After repairs, you run documented tests—often in a high-voltage environment—to verify tolerances and quality standards. Throughout the day, you log hours and parts usage, write thorough failure reports (with photos when needed), and champion our Zero Harm safety culture. On some weeks, you’ll head into the field, supporting customers on-site (10–15% travel).

What you’ll do

• Perform detailed inbound inspections and record results with accuracy
• Safely use lifting devices, cranes, jigs, and assembly stands
• Interpret schematics, prints, specs, procedures, work orders, and BOMs
• Troubleshoot and execute mechanical disassembly / assembly of motors and gears
• Test repaired units per documented guidelines to confirm quality and tolerances
• Work safely in high-voltage test environments
• Complete safety training on time and uphold a Zero Harm culture
• Accurately document time, components, repair reports, and expenses
• Create detailed failure analyses and add photos as needed
• Operate effectively across factory and field settings; travel 10–15%

The base salary range for this position in Alpharetta, GA is $60,700 – $71,300. Final pay may vary based on budget, experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
