Job Description & Requirements
Registered Nurse - Hospice -
Certifications : BLS
Mon - Thurs 2pm - midnight with call from 12am to 8am (Monday to Thursday night)
Call shared between 2 RNs each night (may or may not receive triage calls or make a visit)
Must have RN, BLS, current Driver's license
COVID-19 Vaccine : Not Required
Flu Vaccine : Required - Medical / Religious Exemptions Only
Skills : (WHO) Analgesic Ladder, Adjuvant therapy, Advanced directives, Altered mental status, Anorexia and Cachexia, Aphasia, Ascites, Breakthrough dosing, Constipation / diarrhea, Death pronouncement, Goal setting with patient / family, Home Health / Hospice, Intake assessment / interview, Medication tolerance, Nausea / vomiting, Pain assessment, Patient / Family education and support, Perideath care of family, Pharmacologic / non-pharmacological pain interventions, Positioning / preventive shearing and pressure ulcers, Postmortem Care, Pressure ulcer staging, Proper disposal of medications, Types of pain (somatic, visceral, neuropathic) and treatment, Utilization of pain scales (verbal, nonverbal), Clinical Documentation of Hospice eligibility.
