General Description :
This position requires a seasoned contracts individual who is skilled in complex negotiation, management, and administration of assigned Commercial and R&D contracts for both Government and commercial customers. The ideal candidate is an independent critical thinker, strategic, highly organized, and consumer-oriented, capable of performing effectively in a fast-paced environment where multitasking and prioritization are essential.
Essential Duties :
- Lead negotiations, manage, and execute highly complex customer contracts, modifications, and supporting contractual documents throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Understand all contract types, including FFP, CPFF, CPIF, CPAF, OTA, Cooperative Agreements, Grants, and IDIQ, along with their financial structures.
- Serve as custodian of all assigned proposal and contractual documentation.
- Assess complex technical Government solicitations and manage bid and proposal activities, including supporting bid / no-bid decisions.
- Ensure quality and compliance of submitted proposals through collaboration with Pricing, Technical Program Management, and other departments.
- Understand the R&D-to-production transition environment, contract types, and financial structures to guide internal teams aligning with corporate strategy.
- Communicate directly with Government and commercial customers regarding contractual issues, submittals, responses, and modifications.
- Adhere to internal and Government procedures, ensuring contractual performance and compliance, and escalate issues as needed.
- Report to the Deputy Contracts Manager and liaise with the Director of Contracts and Legal to ensure contract alignment with company standards.
Required Skills :
Full contract lifecycle understanding for Government and commercial customers.Proven experience in Government Prime proposal and contract negotiations, with knowledge of FAR / DFARS regulations.Ability to analyze problems conceptually, including intellectual property and liability mitigation.Exceptional communication, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.Team-oriented with conflict management skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and familiarity with Costpoint is a plus.Required Education :
BS / BA degree with at least 8+ years of contract administration experience interacting with Government and commercial entities. Master's degree is a plus.
Physical and Other Requirements :
Ability to sit for long periods and access all company locations.Office in-person attendance required.Flexible work hours, U.S. citizen status required.Compensation :
Base salary range : $132,765 - $165,983 + bonus + benefits. Salary depends on location, skills, experience, and education. Details provided during hiring.
This role requires compliance with Export Control regulations, including U.S. Person status as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15.
