Job Summary :
The Managing Dentist oversees the clinical operations of dental practice, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while leading and mentoring a team of dental professionals. This role combines clinical responsibilities with managerial duties, focusing on enhancing patient experience, operational efficiency, and team performance. The Managing Dentist is accountable for clinical compliance, provider development, and collaboration with practice management to achieve bs goals.
Key Responsibilities :
Clinical Leadership
- Deliver comprehensive dental care to patients in alignment with industry standards and the practice’s philosophy.
- Ensure all clinical practices adhere to regulatory and ethical guidelines (OSHA, HIPAA, state board regulations).
- Conduct patient examinations, diagnoses, and treatments including restorative, preventative, surgical, and cosmetic procedures.
Team Management & Mentorship
Supervise associate dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and support staff.Mentor and train clinical team members to ensure continuous professional development.Conduct performance evaluations and participate in hiring decisions for clinical staff.Practice Operations
Collaborate with office / practice managers to ensure effective scheduling, workflow, and resource utilization.Monitor and help manage clinical supplies, lab costs, and overall operational budgets.Drive initiatives to increase patient retention, satisfaction, and case acceptance rates.Compliance & Quality Assurance
Implement and oversee infection control protocols and clinical safety measures.Ensure documentation accuracy and completeness in patient records and treatment plans.Participate in audits, peer reviews, and continuing education to maintain compliance and high standards of care.Strategic & Business Development
Contributes to the strategic planning and growth of the practice.Assist in setting and achieving production goals and KPIs.Engage in community outreach and promotional activities to attract new patients.Qualifications :
Education & Licensure
DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.Current state dental license in good standing.DEA and CPR certification.Experience
5+ years of clinical dentistry experience (required).Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role (preferred).Experience in a multi-provider or group practice setting is a plus.Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and team-building abilities.Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills.Implant placement (single, AO4, etc.).proficiency in all aspects of dentistry.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Business acumen and understanding of dental practice operations.Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix,).Preferred Attributes :

Monday- Thursday, with some Fridays, 7am-4pmCompensation :
Base Salary : $180,000 - $226,000 with additional (production percentage bonuses)Skills : Cosmetic
