As our Substation Designer, you will create highly detailed technical designs for additions and modifications to the distribution and transmission utility systems from the onset of the projects through their completion. You will independently and under the direction of senior designers and engineers manage concurrent projects related to designing substation electric facilities and ensuring compliance with company standards, government regulations and tariffs. You will work as part of a project team on multiple projects, prioritizing tasks and communicating effectively, while also managing and maintain design records and files, complete as-built drawings, and create various permit drawings.

Responsibilities

Other responsibilities include :

• Prepare construction drawings, documents, calculations, and studies for medium and high voltage substation projects.
• Responsible for technical delivery of power delivery engineering projects or tasks.
• Prepare calculations, studies, and reports for substation and power systems projects meeting internal and client standards and requirements.
• Apply engineering design principles and practices including formulas.
• Work with small project teams to execute substation projects.
