Description The Chemical Operator's primary responsibility is to perform all functions necessary for the manufacture of finished products. Performs a variety of related production and maintenance work, as assigned, and as necessary for the efficient operation of production.
Job Details Role Specific Responsibilities :
- Operates catalyst columns
- Operate plant equipment as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Assists the Senior Operator on distillation column operation and reactor operation (Rearranged)
- Completes all required log sheets before and during shift change; maintains appropriate records for inventory control of materials
- Prepares formulated batches; weighs finished product
- Pumps finished product into storage vessels; charges various vessels and reactors
- Performs general maintenance, cleaning and LOTO equipment (Rearranged)
- Performs duties necessary for storm water and wastewater treatment and maintenance
- Assists in operation and maintenance of waste treatment system
- Maintains good housekeeping in all areas
- Maintains tools and equipment in good repair
- Performs any other production and maintenance tasks as assigned by Sr Operator and / or Management
- Duties must be performed with precision, accuracy, and close attention to details

High School Diploma or equivalentPTEC Certification (preferred)Experience
one to three years of petrochemical industry experience (preferred)Mechanical ability and working knowledge of pipe, pipefittings, and general piping layoutAt least 2-3 years of chemical manufacturing experienceMechanical experienceAbility to work full-time on a rotating 12-hour swing shift scheduleTroubleshooting and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of Process Safety and PPE requirementsKnowledge of Energy Control / Lock Out Tag OutKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
