Job Summary Provides medical services and health education to patients under the supervision of the physician sponsor with regards to the age specific populations including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. Effectively contributes to the health education of individuals and groups and applies appropriate methods designed to increase each persons motivation to assume responsibility for their own health care. Meets regularly with the physician sponsor for consultation, supervision and collaboration. Assesses, diagnoses and treats patients in the hospital according to medical staff approved protocol and acceptable standards of practice. Education and / or Experience Graduate of an NLN accredited school of nursing or equivalent; graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required. Masters degree required. Licensure / Certification / Registration An active CNP license is required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and / or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure required. Federal and State DEA certification is required for South Dakota and Iowa employees. ATLS and ACLS certifications required. Work Schedule Full Time, Varied Shifts; 80 hours every 2 weeks Every 4th weekend & holiday Every third week night & Every 4th weekend call time
