Overview
Position Title : Junior Systems Administrator
Location : Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO
Clearance Type : DoD Secret
Shift : Day shift. In-office position. Work From Home (WFH) is by manager approval only.
Summary : The Junior Systems Administrator supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.

Travel : Up to 10% of the time
Responsibilities
- Perform system administration duties on Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) suite of applications.
- Support systems engineering, maintenance, and operations of cyber capabilities.
- Assist in troubleshooting of hardware, software, and capability of the DCO suite of applications.
- Conduct functional and connectivity testing to ensure continuing operability.
- Comply with organization systems administration standard operating procedures.
- Maintain baseline system security according to organizational policies.
- Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment.
- Manage system / server resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability.
- Monitor and maintain system / server configuration.
- Perform repairs on faulty system / server hardware.
- Troubleshoot hardware / software interface and interoperability problems.
- Install, update, and troubleshoot systems / servers.
- Patch network vulnerabilities to ensure information is safeguarded against outside parties.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements : Must have 2 or more years of general (full-time) work experience (may be reduced with completion of advanced education); Must have 6 months or more of directly related experience.Must have a DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification with Continuing Education (CE) - (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP).Must have, or obtain, an active DoD 8570.01-M CSSP.Infrastructure Support certification with Continuing Education (CE) - (CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, CND).Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.Must be able to obtain an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.Be willing to support troubleshooting for shift workers in a 24x7 operational environment and respond quickly to emergencies as needed.Be willing to support a rotating on-call schedule.Be able to multi-task and prioritize various projects and assignments in a dynamic work environment to meet scheduled / unscheduled customer requests.Desired Requirements : Experience with Linux system administration in a DoD environment; Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) experience; Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) experience; Server Management experience including deployment, backups, snapshots.Compensation
Salary Range : $80,000 - $105,000 annually. Final compensation is based on experience, education, and directly relevant certifications.
