Job Description

Hourly Pay Rate : $22.00. Schedules will be discussed during interview. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift. Allied Universal is seeking three Shift Supervisors for a community in Fort Myers. The supervisors will each manage the site and other officers on duty for each respective shift, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

The supervisors will ensure that contract compliance is maintained and the shift runs smoothly. The supervisors will be working as well, and will be expected to perform vehicle patrol and access control to the property.

Candidates must have a clean motor vehicle record.

Qualifications

Candidate must meet one or more of the following : Any length of service in a Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) related to law enforcement or security, or any support role in a Combat Zone.
A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch.
Graduation from a certified public safety academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in law enforcement, adult corrections, or as a firefighter.
A Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice-related studies.
An Associate's degree (60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice along with current or prior active military service.

Responsibilities

The Shift Security Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services on a specific shift at an assigned customer. The Security Shift Supervisor will act as a liaison between site supervisor, Account Manager / Field Operations Manager and professional security officers.

Supervise staff on assigned shift, providing coaching, recognition and discipline within approved empowerment range.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years verifiable experience

Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills

Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting

Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions

Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Driving Positions : must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience

Intermediate computer skills to utilize innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites

Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently

Display exceptional customer service and communication skills

Able to : Work in various environments, occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds, climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
