You will join our Energy Consulting Services practice

As our new Senior Energy Engineer, you will be part of a highly skilled and experienced team of energy efficiency and sustainability professionals who execute interesting and diverse projects in the commercial, industrial, institutional and municipal sectors. Our team is at the forefront of helping clients achieve their energy efficiency and carbon reduction goals. You will have opportunities to collaborate with design and construction professionals in the Energy business unit as well as with other Ramboll business units and organizations in the Americas and globally including Environment & Health, Water, and Advanced Manufacturing.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be :

Lead client development for new projects, focusing on business development and project execution.

Conduct investigative energy assessments to identify energy and cost savings measures (ASHRAE Level 1-3 energy audits).

Perform utility billing and interval data analysis, and energy benchmarking.

Conduct spreadsheet analysis to estimate energy and cost savings of proposed energy efficiency measures (EEMs).

Develop custom spreadsheet calculators and analysis tools.

Create construction cost estimates for EEMs and determine economic results (e.g., payback period, lifecycle cost analysis).

Utilize building energy simulation software (e.g., eQUEST / DOE-2.2, EnergyPlus) to assess savings potential and optimize energy performance.

Assess renewable energy potential at client sites.

Perform Measurement & Verification activities including data analysis.

Support design engineers and construction managers in implementing energy efficiency projects.

Participate in or lead the development of Energy Master Plans and Decarbonization Plans.

Conduct energy scenario planning and techno-economic modeling analyses.

Support building commissioning activities.

Summarize analyses / results in high-quality reports and presentations.

Support business development activities.

Mentor and coach junior staff.
