Event Marketing Manager

Cognitiv is seeking an Events Marketing Manager to help expand our brand presence and generate high-quality leads through impactful events and marketing activations. This role will focus on executing a range of event programsowned, sponsored, and industry conferencesthat support brand awareness, thought leadership, and revenue growth.

The Events Marketing Manager will report to the Associate Director, Event Marketing and work closely with the broader Marketing, Sales, and Client Success teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where creativity and execution come together to deliver exceptional experiences.

This position will be located in our New York City office with a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in office (Mon / Tue / Wed) and 2 days remote optional (Thursday / Friday).

Core Responsibilities

Event Planning & Execution

  • Lead logistical coordination of industry and regional events, including venue selection if applicable, vendor management, contract negotiations, and on-site support.
  • Manage planning and execution of events within assigned regions (e.g., West Coast and Central U.S.), ensuring alignment with Cognitiv's broader marketing strategy.
  • Provide project management and logistical support for major tentpole industry events (e.g., CES, Cannes, Advertising Week), ensuring seamless execution across planning, onsite activation, and post-event follow-up.
  • Develop and execute event marketing campaigns to drive attendance, engagement, and brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and sponsors to deliver seamless event experiences and maximize ROI.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Manage event budgets, invoices, timelines, and vendor contracts, ensuring projects stay on track and within scope.
  • Maintain event calendars, project plans, and reporting dashboards for visibility across the team.
  • Oversee guest lists, registration, shipping logistics, and post-event follow-up processes.
  • Compile post-event performance reports and assist in analyzing ROI and pipeline impact.
  • Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with Sales, Client Success, and Marketing teams to ensure events support pipeline and revenue goals.
  • Clearly communicate updates, timelines, and expectations with stakeholders and leadership.
  • Provide consistent status reports and updates to marketing leadership on event performance and outcomes.
  • Support brand consistency across all event-related creative, messaging, and collateral.
  • Research & Preparation

  • Conduct market research to identify relevant sponsorship opportunities, competitive activity, and new venues.
  • Assist in the creation of promotional materials such as invitations, signage, branded swag, and digital campaigns.
  • Stay current on event and marketing trends to introduce fresh, innovative ideas to the team.
  • Requirements

    35 years of experience in event marketing, B2B marketing, or event planning (AdTech or SaaS experience a plus).

    Proven success supporting sales-driven events, including conferences, sponsorships, and client activations.

    Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail.

    Strong collaborator with a positive attitude and ability to build effective relationships across teams and with external partners.

    Analytical mindset with experience measuring event ROI and performance metrics.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or Business and / or equivalent work experience in the industry

    Salary : $115,000-$125,000 Base Salary + Equity
