Chiller Service Technician – Kansas City, MO

Union – Local 533 | Over Scale Pay | Company Truck & Fuel Card | PTO & Benefits

About the Opportunity

A leading mechanical contractor in the Kansas City metro is growing its Chiller Service team and looking for a skilled Chiller Service Technician to join their ranks. This is a full-time, union position (Local 533) working on industrial, commercial, and hospital chillers.

If you have completed your Local 533 apprenticeship—or are recently journeyed—and want to join a stable team with long-term growth opportunities, this could be your next home.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair chiller systems (industrial, commercial, hospital)
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance
• Respond to emergency calls on a rotating on-call schedule (1 day every 5–6 days)
• Work independently in the field, coordinating with the Chiller Team Lead
• Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate findings to clients and supervisors
