Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

We are seeking an experienced West Virginia-licensed Pharmacist to serve as Interim Director of Pharmacy (PIC) at a busy hospital with a recent Cerner go-live. This contract opportunity offers leadership experience with weekday hours and minimal weekend responsibility unless emergencies arise.

Key Requirements :

Active WV Pharmacist License (required)

Proven inpatient DOP / PIC experience

Strong leadership and departmental management skills

Familiarity with Cerner munity Works and Pyxis

Experience with regulatory pliance (TJC, BOP, USP standards, DSCSA)

Oversight of sterile pounding (general supervision, not hands-on)

Responsibilities :

Lead and stabilize the pharmacy department during transition

Collaborate with clinical managers and external stakeholders

Ensure regulatory pliance and support ongoing software and procedural initiatives

Support departmental operations and emergencies as needed

Maintain staff performance and engagement during DOP transition

Schedule & Duration :

MondayFriday, daytime hours

Flexible start : ideally with some overlap before 10 / 27, latest start 10 / 30 / 2023

Duration : a few weeks to 6+ months depending on need

Hospital orientation and CPS handoff provided
