Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Manager Manufacturing Operations 3 who will report directly to the Director Manufacturing Operations 1 at the Buffalo, New York site within the Navigation, Targeting and Survivability Division. This role will be directly responsible for the overall management of the manufacturing assembly and test operations at the site.
What You'll get to Do :
Direct and coordinate the activities to plan, prepare, issue, and control production schedules to meet production / delivery requirements.
Oversee the status of work in process, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that equipment, materials, and services are available as needed.
Manage the overall touch labor workforce across production cells to ensure that maximum efficiency is met, program schedules are achieved, and indirect budget goals are met.
Perform required SAP / Workday transactions to manage personnel, planning, and financials.
Ensure that the manufacturing organization has the correct training.
Create a culture focused on maintaining a safe work environment.
Manage the overall budget of the manufacturing organization.
Ensure 5S practices within the cell areas.
Utilize both internal and external resources to coordinate cell and functional activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, inventory control, transportation, and program managers across the Buffalo campus.
You will be responsible for the direct supervision of five direct personnel, including four managers of the assembly and test organizations. You will work independently across organizations; assign and manage assemblers and technicians to maximize efficiency and achieve target productive yields; and implement process improvements to enhance affordability, quality, and schedule.
The ideal candidate must have outstanding communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, experience building a high-performing team, and understand the culture of large organizations.
