About the Position :
As a member of our team, the Product Engineer is responsible for the technical development, testing, and optimization of Watts Marine products to ensure they meet design specifications, quality standards, and customer needs. This role focuses on solving engineering challenges during the development process, implementing and executing quality assurance tests, and reviewing designs and code to uphold Watts Marine standards.
What You'll Do :
- Serve as the shore power overall system owner , defining and managing technical requirements and ensuring alignment with Watts-Marine standards.
- Establish engineering and technical limitations, applications, and standards for materials, processes, methods, designs, and practices.
- Communicate system and project requirements to partners, suppliers, and consultants and staff to ensure clarity, compliance, and adherence to Watts-Marine standards.
- Prepare and review specification sheets, drawings, and technical documents using AutoCAD to designate parts, materials, and acceptable uses.
- Conduct Arc Flash studies and other safety-related engineering analyses to ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
- Evaluate technical data from journals, supplier catalogs, government standards, and other sources to maintain up-to-date knowledge of materials, processes, code compliance, and best practices.
- Collaborate with departmental specialists to review and confirm standards are consistent across disciplines and aligned with current projects.
- Present engineering requirements and findings to internal teams, external partners, and management.
- Develop solutions to design issues that might occur.
- Maintain proper procedures for the retention, storage, and retrieval of engineering standards and data using manual or automated methods.
- Maintain and update built drawings for current systems using AutoCad and any other relevant tools.

What You'll Need :
