The successful candidate will continuously assess the best balance between lead time, quality, and cost. In addition, they will oversee supplier relationships, lead negotiations, and manage contractual agreements for all stakeholders within their scope. The role will encompass operational responsibilities and, over time, evolve into a more strategic position. The future Purchaser will also provide support to procurement activities in the US and take on the responsibility of overseeing the on-site Procurement Agent.
Responsibilities :
Under the responsibility of the Purchase Supervisor :
- Retrieve and manage the portfolio of existing suppliers.
- Identify main manufacturers and distributors
- Be the point of contact for suppliers
- Collect and communicate all information linked to appropriate tools (Information on suppliers and on products)
- Conduct RFQs and identify new suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Collaborate closely with the Procurement Agent in the US.
- Ensure certification and required documentation for product commercialization.
Additional Objectives :
Conduct an in-depth analysis of the US market.Evaluate suppliers and monitor their performance.Contribute to and optimize procurement-related KPIs. Requirements :Ability to travel internationally (two weeks for onboarding).Experience :
Minimum of 5 years in a Buyer or Procurement role, preferably in a regulated industry such as Medical Devices.Specific skills required :
