Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Packaging Operator for our first shift to oversee operations of high-speed packaging machines, ensuring the production of our renowned sweet potato chips, which are fried in avocado oil and free from the top 9 common food allergens. This role involves managing Alpma machines, brine systems, and filling forms, as well as maintaining cleanliness and sanitation according to our high standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate high-speed packaging machines to produce chip bags.
• Perform minor troubleshooting to identify machine stoppages or jams and determine if maintenance is required.
• Manage and operate specific machinery in the production line.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and production procedures.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and quality control.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management.

Work Environment

Work hours are from 6am to 2 : 30pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime on Fridays. The facility is clean, temperature-controlled, and has a pleasant aroma reminiscent of French fries. Employees must adhere to GMP standards, which include wearing hair nets, beard nets, smocks, hard hats, and steel-toed shoes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Muskego, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.50 / hr.
