Part-Time Instructor for Adult Education

This is a part time, non-exempt instructor position in the Adult Education Department for classes in fall semester starting immediately in Quincy, IL. This position is a non-tenure track serving in a temporary or auxiliary capacity to teach specific courses on a course-by-course basis.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Teach Adult Basic Education and GED preparation courses using instructional methods geared toward the adult learner in a classroom setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and Implement curricula and lessons based on the learning needs of students at various skill levels in preparation for high school equivalency testing and / or enhancement of basic education skills.
• Assess student progress and adapt instruction to diverse adult learners.
• Provide support to help adult learners achieve their educational and career objectives.
