We are looking for a Business Unit Manager for one of the leading developers of contactless identification solutions using RFID, NFC and Bluetooth® technologies, and the Internet of Things (IoT). For over 20 years, they have been inventing smart solutions designed to secure access and provide traceability for assets in testing environments such as the aeronautical, energy or defense sectors.

As Business Unit Manager, you will be responsible for leading an operational unit and deploying the company’s strategy within your scope. You will oversee financial and administrative management (budgeting, reporting, profitability, compliance) while ensuring the successful execution of projects and services. Acting as the main link between headquarters and your Business Unit, you will drive performance, foster innovation, optimize resources, and develop your teams to ensure sustainable growth. In addition to your core responsibilities, you will actively contribute to business development by engaging strategically with key U.S. accounts. You will ensure alignment with client expectations and play a key role in driving long-term business growth.

KEY REPONSIBILITIES

Performance and operational management

  • Deploy and uphold the company’s global strategy within the Business Unit
  • Act as the key communication interface and information relay between the BU and headquarters
  • Monitor key performance indicators (revenue, margin, profitability, market share, etc.)
  • Contribute to innovation and the continuous improvement of the BU’s offerings
  • Ensure effective Human Resources management, fostering talent development, workforce planning, and alignment with company values and policies
  • Lead, engage, and develop the BU teams

Business development

  • Maintain and strengthen strategic relationships with key U.S. accounts
  • Identify and pursue commercial opportunities aligned with client needs and business objectives
  • Ensure cross-functional coordination to deliver tailored solutions and maximize client satisfaction
  • Contribute to revenue growth and long-term business development through proactive account engagement
  • Monitor client expectations and market trends to inform strategic decisions and service offerings
  • Administrative & Financial Management

  • Oversee the site's administrative operations in compliance with internal policies and legal requirements
  • Develop and manage the BU’s budget
  • Ensure the profitability and economic performance of the entity
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and monitoring of expenses, revenues, and cost allocations
  • Collaborate with HQ teams to prepare and track budgets, forecasts, and financial performance indicators
  • Supervise invoicing, payment follow-up, and contract management
  • Ensure proper documentation and archiving of administrative and financial records
  • Operational Management

  • Ensure the successful execution of projects and services
  • Guarantee quality and compliance with commitments
  • Optimize processes and resource allocation
  • PROFILE

    You have proven experience in managing teams and activities, ideally within a business unit, department, or profit center.

    You are confident in overseeing financial performance, including budgeting, reporting, and profitability, as well as ensuring operational follow-up of projects and services.

    Organized and results-driven, you know how to engage teams, communicate effectively, and contribute to continuous improvement.

    With a strong business development mindset, you proactively identify commercial opportunities, build strategic client relationships, and support long-term growth
