Senior Accountant Consultant

Our trusted client looking for an experienced Senior Accountant Consultant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Dundee, Michigan. This role focuses on complex account reconciliations and financial analysis to ensure accurate reporting across multiple areas of the business. The successful candidate will play a critical role in identifying discrepancies, streamlining processes, and collaborating with various teams to achieve clean and consistent financial records.

The day-to-day responsibilities include :

• Conduct detailed account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies across multiple business units.
• Analyze inventory accounts from multiple plants, consolidating data for accurate ledger reporting.
• Investigate accounts receivable issues, coordinating with teams across different locations to clean and standardize records.
• Perform month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and reviewing general ledger balances.
• Manage bank reconciliations to verify transactions and resolve outstanding items.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify inefficiencies in current processes and implement improvements.
• Prepare accurate financial reports and documentation to support compliance and audits.
• Monitor and maintain the integrity of financial data across all accounting systems.
• Provide expert guidance on complex accounting issues, leveraging extensive reconciliation experience.
• Assist with special projects as needed to enhance financial operations and reporting.
