Role description :

Arcadis is seeking a highly motivated Principal Protection and Control Engineer to join our Power Delivery & Renewable team. This senior position involves technical leadership in protection and control engineering for utility-scale projects, working closely with various engineering disciplines and clients across North America. The role includes project management, technical design, and client engagement, with travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities include :

  • Managing and growing the Protection and Control team, resource planning, and quality reviews.
  • Supporting project development from conceptual design through construction.
  • Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to develop complete engineering packages.
  • Acting as Project Manager, Proposal Manager, and Technical Lead to support business growth.
  • Mentoring junior staff and ensuring quality assurance.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in protection schemes, relay and control engineering, and related standards.
  • Experience within Power Delivery Protection & Relay Control consultancy businesses.
  • PE License.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as SKM, ASPEN, ETAP, CAPE, etc.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
