Machine Operator

This position operates an industrial sewing machine to sew together components needed for the bed making process.

• Frequent walking to retrieve materials and put finished unit into storage areas.
• Frequent pushing and pulling of work piece while on the sewing table.
• Frequent repetitive use of hands / arms while aligning pieces of fabric and feeding them into the machine.
• Frequent repetitive use of foot to activate the sewing machine.
• Frequent lifting and carrying of work in process, less than 10 pounds.
• Occasional reaching over head to retrieve component parts.
• Occasional grasping of fabric pieces and scissors.
• Occasional lifting and carrying of pieces up to 25 pounds.
• Must be 18 years of age or older
