ITTConnect is seeking a  Java Backend Developer   to work for one of our clients in the Atlanta area. This is a contract position with a company that is a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology and engineering services present in nearly 50 countries. The end client is in the retail / restaurant business.

Job location : On site  (Sandy Springs area, Zip code 30328).

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Implement and manage databases and data access technologies, including DynamoDB and Firebase.
  • Deploy and operate applications on AWS EKS, utilizing services such as S3 and CloudWatch.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Document technical designs and low-level architectures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in software development using Java.
  • Extensive experience with Spring Boot framework.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Experience with RESTful API design and development.
  • Proficiency in database technologies, like DynamoDB and Firebase.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS, and services like EKS, S3, and CloudWatch.
  • Knowledge of CI / CD practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of code quality tools like SonarQube.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
