Utility Maintenance Technician Duties & Responsibilities :
LockNet is seeking a Utility Maintenance Technician. The Utility Maintenance Technician is a support role responsible for keeping the facilities in clean, orderly, and well-maintained condition, as well as supporting operational activities. Responsibility includes addressing facilities maintenance issues, coordinating with tradesmen, operations support, and miscellaneous administrative duties.
Duties Include :
- Repairing or coordinating and managing repairs with tradesmen for maintenance issues at both facilities including but not limited to plumbing, HVAC, drywall, painting, electrical, etc.
- Coordinate with parking lot snow removal vendor and ensure that sidewalks are properly shoveled and salted.
- Contact, get quotes, and meet and coordinate with tradesmen for special projects as assigned.
- Manage facilities needs for both buildings such as hanging whiteboards, building and rearranging office furniture, mounting IT equipment, assisting with running IT cables, replacing ceiling tiles, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, etc.
- Daily custodial tasks of trash removal and refill of consumable restroom supplies.
- Manage orders with Cintas for items such as first aid kits, fire extinguisher maintenance, floor mat maintenance, etc.
- Assist with set-up and tear-down for company events.
- Moves heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- Notifies management and provides suggestions for the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
- Making local deliveries to customers, and picking up products from local suppliers, when required.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Ideal Building Maintenance Worker Will Have :
High School Diploma, or equivalentMinimum of 3 years of experience in general labor or trade workWorking knowledge of hand-tools and cleaning suppliesValid driver's licenseAbility to read and use measuring toolsAbility to regularly lift and / or move up to 75 pounds without assistanceExcellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook requiredHigh attention to detail with the ability to move from one task to another as called upon
