Job Title : Residential Advisor
Status : Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provides residential support for individuals with intellectual disabilities in a community home setting.
- Maintains a positive working relationship with identified participants, community agencies, medical professionals, and other collaborative entities.
- Ensures the safety, health, and well-being of individuals with intellectual disabilities by providing residential supports.
- Provide assistance with bathing, toileting, and all aspects of hygiene.
- Maintains a calm home environment that enables participants to live an independent life.
- Provides support in daily living activities.
- Implements aspects of the participant's Individualized Support Plan.
- Creates and promotes opportunities for participants to fully achieve their goals.
- Provides support in daily living activities.
- Encourages skill development and goal attainment.
- Participates in community activities that promote socialization for participants.
- Provides transportation for participants to fully engage in the community.
- Documents clearly the daily progress of participants in ALIS, and other systems : at the completion of each shift.
- Commits to high-quality residential services for all participants.
- Complies with all policies, procedures, and Chapter 6400 regulations.
- Remains flexible to work rotating shifts with non-traditional hours to meet the needs of the participants.
Education / Experience :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or extensive experience or training on intellectual disabilities or the mental health field.
Certificates and Licenses (Preferred) :
CPR / first aidFire safetyCrisis managementAct 33, Act 34, and Act 73Pathways Community Living will obtain the clearances or certifications for employees to meet these requirements.Requirements :
