Technical Web Developer (Contract to Hire) Up to $80K / year or more DOE. Four days / week onsite & one day remote supporting Prince Georges County in Largo, MD

Job Description

The Technical Web Developer is responsible for designing, coding, and maintaining websites and web applications. They ensure functionality, performance, and security while collaborating with designers, project managers, and other developers.

Essential Job Duties

• Design and develop websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and backend technologies like PHP, Python, or Node.js
• SharePoint Administration and Implementation
• Build and maintain web applications that are scalable, secure, and user-friendly
• Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to translate UI / UX designs into functional code
• Integrate third-party services and APIs to enhance site functionality
• Optimize website performance for speed, responsiveness, and SEO
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility through testing and debugging
• Maintain and update existing websites to fix bugs, add features, or improve usability
• Implement security best practices to protect user data and prevent vulnerabilities
