INNOVA People is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Rochester, New York.

We need a IR Neuro Rad Tech for a 13-Week assignment in NY ASAP. 40 hours per week guaranteed. Full benefits available day 1 on assignment. Travel reimbursement up to $500 for getting to assignment.

\nGross weekly pay : $3200
\n
\n
\n Client would prefer HCP with interventional radiology experience. For reference, the unit typically train RTs coming from other modalities for up to six months when they start in neuro IR.
\n
\nmust have Neurosurgery / neuroscience
\n5-8 hour shifts with room for negotiation at maximum of 4-10 hour shifts.
\nTHERE IS NOT A ROTATING SHIFT SCHEDULE
\n2-3 call shifts per month along with at least 1 holiday assignment
\n
\n
\nPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
\n
\n2. Demonstrates competence in selecting exposure factors, positioning and consistently
\nproduces radiologic images of diagnostic quality.
\n3. Works cooperatively with all members of the department to resolve problems
\nexpediently.
\n4. Displays flexibility, team spirit, compassion, respect, politeness and accountability when
\ndealing with customers.
\n5. Demonstrates awareness of and sensitivity for patient’s rights in all interfaces with
\npatients.
\nC. AREAS OF EMPHASIS
\n
\n1. Administers oral contrast as needed per exam.
\n2. Instructs and prepares patients for radiographic / fluoroscopic examinations and assists
\nRadiologist during procedures.
\n3. Demonstrates competence and proficiency in operation if all x-ray equipment, CR and
\nDR systems.
\n4. Reports equipment malfunctions to manager or lead.
\n5. Completes all assigned procedures in a timely manner and uses time between procedures
\nto department advantage-assisting others, clerical duties, stocking, transporting, etc.
\n6. Employee understands his / her role on maintaining medication security to authorized
\npersonnel only.
\n7. Demonstrates competency in providing health care services in own job category to all
\nage groups.
\n8. Demonstrates competency in interpersonal relationships to all age groups.
\nD. DOCUMENTATION / INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
\n1. Demonstrates competency in the use of Hospital information System (HIS), Radiology
\nInformation System (RIS) and PACS.
\n2. Participates in hospital performance improvement activities (BPI projects, task forces,
\netc.) when warranted.
\n3. Demonstrate confidentiality using own password and all patient care modules.
\n4. Answers telephone inquiries of a technical nature from physicians or hospital personnel
\nin other areas of the hospital while maintaining good phone etiquette.

\nRequirements :
\nBLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
\nTwo (2) years experience
\nLicensing in the state of NY
