Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiac ICU position requiring pediatric critical care and congenital heart disease expertise in Massachusetts.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU) of a Magnet-designated acute care facility
  • Care for pediatric patients pre- and post-operatively with congenital heart disease
  • Must float to MSICU, MICU, NICU, and ACCU as needed
  • Patient population includes critically ill children requiring specialized cardiac care
  • Uses Epic charting system
  • Shifts are 3x12 hours with day / night rotation (7a-7p or 7p-7a), or permanent nights possible
  • Required to work 3 of every 6 weekends
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • No first-time travelers will be considered for this position
  • Magnet facility with Level III / IV NICU and Level I Trauma status
  • Any solid color scrubs are permitted
  • Parking is free for night shift and discounted for days / evenings with shuttle service available
  • Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a lower pay rate
  • No modules or onboarding educational training required
  • Must provide two professional references from two different facilities for consideration

  • Active MA RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric critical care experience
  • Prior experience caring for patients with congenital heart disease in a critical care setting required
  • Previous travel assignment experience required
  • Certifications in BLS and PALS required
  • Ability to float to designated intensive care units
