Job Summary

The Senior Nursing Assistant serves as an expert caregiver for residents during scheduled shifts in long-term care. You will display exceptional proficiency in nursing assistance and support your team as needed.

Your responsibilities include providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). You will deliver age-appropriate care tailored to both the physical and psychological needs of residents in accordance with individualized care plans.

Your Role Involves :

Assisting residents with everyday activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.

Recording vital signs, providing psychosocial support, and facilitating transfers and mobility with appropriate techniques.

Contributing to meal preparation and creating a positive dining experience for residents.

Documenting and communicating resident interactions and changes to the charge nurse.

Participating in cleaning duties and enhancing residents' living spaces.

Encouraging residents' participation in wellness and recreational programs.

You may also lead Restorative Nursing programs and participate in departmental committees as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Minimum age of 16 required; two years of clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.

Must possess current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.

Complete annual competency testing and 12 hours of continuing education each year.

Potentially complete Restorative Nursing training within 6 months.
