The Biomaterials Engineering & Tissue Regeneration (BETR) Lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, UT Southwestern Medical Center (Dallas, Texas, USA) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to work on the development of engineered hydrogel-based biomaterials for tissue engineering and bioprinting applications. The candidate will contribute to a multidisciplinary and ambitious ARPA-H funded project focused on developing a biofabricated organ for transplantation.
Responsibilities
Design, synthesize, and characterize hydrogel-based biomaterials for tissue engineering
Investigate cell–matrix interactions and optimize biomaterial properties for tissue development
Collaborate with a diverse team of 10–15 researchers across disciplines and partner research groups
Prepare manuscripts, present research findings, and contribute to grant progress reports
Qualifications
PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, Bioengineering, or a related field
Strong background in biomaterials, polymer synthesis, and cell–matrix interaction studies
Proven publication record in high-quality journals
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
