  • Location : Washington, DC 20007 – Georgetown area, ideal for nurses seeking DC healthcare jobs\n
  • Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Assignment\n
  • Unit : General Medicine / Telemetry (16 beds)\n
  • Start Date : November 3, 2025\n
  • End Date : February 2, 2026\n
  • Duration : 13-week contract\n
  • Shifts : 3x12-hour shifts per week (Days : 06 : 30-19 : 00, Nights : 18 : 30-07 : 00, or rotating)\n
  • Hours per Week : 36\n
  • Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend (6 weekend shifts per contract)\n
  • Patient Ratio : 1 : 5\n
  • Orientation : 24 hours\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1590-$1710\n

    • \n\nMed / Surg Telemetry RN Qualifications\n \n

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience in a hospital setting\n
  • At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required\n
  • Active DC Registered Nurse license (pending accepted with proof; must have by start date)\n
  • BLS certification required\n
  • ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred\n
  • Ability to pass EKG test during orientation\n
  • Willingness to work Thanksgiving holiday\n
  • Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed\n
  • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)\n
  • Two supervisor references required\n

    • \n\nMed / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with complex, multisystem diagnoses\n
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms; manage dysrhythmias\n
  • Perform IV therapy, including PICC and peripheral line management and IV starts\n
  • Manage feeding tubes, wound care, and tracheostomy care\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, social services)\n
  • Administer medications and treatments using Cerner and Pyxis systems\n
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital protocols\n
  • Float to other units as required and provide coverage during holidays and weekends\n
