Practice highlights
A collegial team of 3 Cardiothoracic Surgeons, 3 PA-Cs (including this position), 2 RNs and support staff with 40 total Cardiac providers.
Assists at surgery as a first or second assistant to a primary cardiothoracic surgeon in 1 of 2 dedicated Cardiac OR's or our Hybrid OR.
Rounds in the ICU and / or CVU, monitoring, assessing and treating patients.
The PA will see cardiothoracic patients pre- and post-operatively, both in the clinic and in the hospital with ~70% of their time providing inpatient services.
Assists at surgery as a first or second assistant to a primary cardiothoracic surgeon in 1 of 2 dedicated Cardiac OR's or our Hybrid OR.
Rounds in the ICU and / or CVU, monitoring, assessing and treating patients.
Team-based patient care with providers and hospital staff.
Longer hours and taking minimal call (1 : 3) will be required due to patient need with Physician backup available.
Procedures include : Suturing, Harvest Vein Conduit, Exposure of vessels, wound closure and debridement, management of surgical drains, chest tubes and lines

The qualifications include a Washington State Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license or ability to obtain; new graduate or experienced candidates with a high interest in joining a surgical cardiothoracic practice will be considered. The successful candidate will develop proficiency in performing tie sutures, harvest vein conduit, exposure of vessels, wound closure, wound debridement, and management of surgical drains and chest tubes and lines. Development and training will be provided by two established and experienced PeaceHealth CT Surgery PA's.

We offer a competitive compensation and robust benefits, relocation assistance and a generous sign-on bonus. Compensation will include call pay. Compensation is based on experience and will be between $70.63 - $88.12. This position is represented by a Union.
