The  Adult Behavioral Health Therapist  is responsible for maintaining a caseload consisting of clients with a primary mental health and / or co-occurring substance abuse diagnosis.  The therapist is required to conduct intake assessments, to maintain the case record in a timely fashion, to complete authorizations with various funding sources in a timely manner as required, and to conduct appropriate treatment services based on medical necessity.

Specific Responsibilities :

1.     Primary responsibility is to participate in the delivery of clinical services, including intake evaluations, and direct treatment for adults and families.

2.     Assess and document the needs of clients who present themselves for outpatient mental health and / or co-occurring substance abuse services utilizing Person-Centered Planning principals.

3.     Provide individual and group therapy.

4.     Work collaboratively with others in relation to the client and family including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, school personnel and other family service or support people.

5.    Must meet all of the contractual requirements of the funding sources and / or agency, including maintaining State licensure.

Requirements :

• Must have a minimum of  a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling and possess the corresponding State of Michigan licensure and   state licensure (LLMSW, LLPC, TLLP, LMSW, LPC or LLP).
• Candidates must obtain the  Qualified Mental Health Professional  credential within 120 days of hire. Must have one year of experience (may include time spent in fieldwork or internship) treating or working with people who have been diagnosed with mental illness

Travel : Mileage Reimbursement when personal vehicle used - IRS standard. .64 per mile
