Technical Program & Standards Specialist

Location : Omaha, NE | Type : Full-Time

The Opportunity We’re looking for a Technical Program & Standards Specialist to elevate our field and office operations through clear, consistent processes and workforce development. In this role, you’ll :

  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices for our Surveying and VDC teams.
  • Build and manage a formal apprenticeship program with a local technical college.
  • Help onboard and train staff to follow established standards.
  • Act as a go-to resource for technical excellence, process innovation, and industry trends.

What You’ll Do

  • Create, refine, and manage SOPs and best practices for all core workflows.
  • Partner with leadership and staff to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Launch and run an apprenticeship program that bridges classroom learning with hands-on field training.
  • Support onboarding and conduct refresher training sessions.

    • What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, HR, Business, or related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in training, instructional design, or process development.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to make complex topics simple.
  • Organized, proactive, and collaborative — with a passion for improving systems and developing people.

    • Preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and document management tools.
  • Experience in instructional writing or training facilitation.
