Base Pay : $19.00 per hour
1st Shift : Monday-Friday, 7 am-3 pm

Duties and Responsibilities
Build crates from wooden materials around cartons of product in preparation for shipment. Ensures inventory control through correct placement of product within warehouse. Ensures safety of people and materials in all locations by following Company guidelines on lifting, stacking, and operation of motorized equipment. Performs all functions in accordance with safety policies and procedures to maintain a quality product during storage and shipment. Responsible for careful loading of product and quality crate building to assist with customer satisfaction.
- Train to operate motorized equipment (forklift and multi-directional equipment) safely
- Correctly fill orders from inventory
- Stage product in preparation for shipment
- Collect product for the set-up and construction of crates
- Build crates from wooden materials around cartons of product in preparation for shipment
- Provide production with product storage racks
- Change batteries and gas tanks on forklifts and report maintenance needs of motorized equipment
- Perform daily preventive maintenance and safety checks on motorized equipment
- Perform warehouse maintenance and warehouse housekeeping
- Train on paperwork for crates and vans
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required
- Attend scheduled staff meetings with the Distribution Supervisor, if necessary
- Perform basic duties of Forklift Operator 2 at times, based upon ability and experience
- Maintain an accurate timecard daily
- Actively participate in all plant safety programs, depending on location
Qualifications
Six months' experience as a warehouse associate 1 or six months' related experience preferredMust possess a thorough understanding of the Company distribution processes and proceduresMust have good eye / hand coordination, excellent manual dexterity including a skill to use hand and electrical tools, and an ability to read and comprehend numbersMust be able to lift up to 86lbs on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist and ability to team lift 87 to 100lbsMust be detailed oriented, possess good communication skills, and interact well with othersMust be able to separate product by profiling colorWarehouse environment with exposure to equipment noise, temperature extremes, and dustPosition requires continual lifting, twisting, and bendingEquipment / tools used : Must be proficient in working with hand, electrical, and pneumatic toolsMust be able to operate a multi-directional forklift safelySafety glasses and ear plugs must be utilized as instructedMust possess a Company motorized equipment licenseSafe work performance is required from each associate at all timesPerform all duties and responsibilities in a safe manner in accordance with applicable Health and Safety ManualsRequired to wear or use personal protective equipment as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditionsComply with all legislative requirements as outlined by Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulationsAdditionally, the proper discharge of safety responsibilities is an integral part of each associate's performance appraisalTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorilyReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsSite Address : 303 W Major St. Kearney, MO 64060
