Pay Information

$150 to $175 per hour

About The Position

OB Hospitalist Locums - North Carolina, 24-Hour PRN Shifts

Inpatient-only OB coverage in North Carolina near Raleigh with low volume and open shifts through 2026.

Highlights

  • 24-hour in-house call; average callback just 2 hours
  • You choose your shifts; 5 to 15 per month
  • No clinic, no outpatient follow-up

Practice Setting

  • Inpatient-only; Level I nursery and maternity unit
  • Pediatricians and anesthesia on-site
  • No midwives; hospital staff support only
  • Charting : Epic and OBIX

    • Schedule

  • 24-hour shifts ending by 6 a.m. the next day
  • PRN style; flexible monthly scheduling
  • Open dates available every month through end of 2026

    • Cases and Procedures

  • Deliveries (including VBAC), OB consults, and rounding
  • Forceps and family planning consults optional
  • No abortions or outpatient duties required

    • Requirements

  • Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Active North Carolina license
  • BLS and DEA required

    • Travel Accommodations

  • All travel costs covered : airfare, hotel, rental car, and mileage
  • Multiple shifts grouped per trip for convenience
