Our San Francisco office is seeking a Project Architect to join our team. In this role, you will :

  • Lead a team of architects to develop technical documents for complex projects such as senior living, mixed-use, and multi-family developments.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and finalize construction document packages.
  • Oversee daily construction administration activities, coordinating with contractors, owners, and consultants to ensure project progress.
  • Mentor junior staff, providing oversight and monitoring their work.
  • Establish and execute project work plans and staffing requirements.
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with clients.
  • Participate in recruiting and performance management of staff.
  • Meet with owners and user groups to determine program and planning requirements.

Ideal candidates will have :

  • A bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience.
  • An active Architectural Registration.
  • LEED AP certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of engineering systems and ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Strong communication skills to build client relationships and trust.
  • Excellent mentoring, organizational, and written / verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Revit is required; experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is desirable.
  • Experience leading architectural teams.
  • Understanding of code implementation, jurisdiction review, especially for Residential, Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly, OSHPD 2, and Skilled Nursing Facilities.
  • Knowledge of construction practices for Type I and Type V construction types.
