J ob description for : Host / Hostess

Direct Supervisor :

Front-of-House Manager or Restaurant Manager

Purpose of the Position :

To create a welcoming first impression for guests, manage seating and reservations efficiently, and support smooth front-of-house operations to enhance the guest experience at Momento Cantina.

General Functions :

  • Greet and welcome guests warmly
  • Manage reservations and walk-ins
  • Coordinate seating and waitlist
  • Maintain cleanliness and order at the entrance
  • Communicate guest needs to service staff

Specific Functions :

  • Answer phone calls and handle reservations professionally
  • Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
  • Monitor table turnover and update seating chart in real time
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve minor issues with courtesy
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures as needed
