Position Overview

As a Wound Care Physician, you will play a crucial role in delivering direct, patient-focused wound care in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. You will also collaborate with Nurse Practitioners, providing clinical guidance and mentorship to enhance patient outcomes.

Founded in 2010, Kane Wound Care is a premier mobile wound care provider serving patients across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Texas. We bring care directly to long-term care, assisted living, and skilled nursing facilities, removing barriers to timely and effective treatment. Your Role in Our Team

As a key member of our mobile wound care team, you will :

  • Deliver hands-on, bedside wound care to patients in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.
  • Lead wound assessment, treatment planning, and advanced procedures.
  • Utilize cutting-edge technology to accelerate healing.
  • Guide effective decisions based on a holistic approach.
  • Maintain timely and accurate charting in our customized EMR.
  • Recommend next steps and refer patients as needed for optimal care.
  • Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, providing real-time support and shaping clinical standards.
  • Drive quality initiatives and support our mission of elevating post-acute care.
  • Qualifications

  • MD or DO with an active and unrestricted TX license.
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Surgery, or a similar field.
  • 2+ years of physician experience (wound care or post-acute preferred).
  • TX prescriptive authority & DEA registrations.
  • Eligible and willing to serve as a collaborating physician.
  • Ability to travel daily to assigned facilities in the Dallas / Fort Worth area.
  • Comfortable with EMR, mobile, and laptop documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills : collaborative, communicative, and adaptable.
  • Committed to hands-on patient care and mentoring advanced practice providers.
