SECURITY OFFICER
Job Summary
Provides security services to promote a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, physicians, and assets.
Job Responsibilities
- Performs proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential / actual security threats.
- Investigates and manages all security incidents and hazards on the premises and other organizational properties.
- Maintains knowledge of and follows policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency / disaster preparedness plans.
- Facilitates planned drills and simulations.
- Provides information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote their safety on the premises.
- Manages facility access and security surveillance systems.
- Manages violent behavior patients and visitors utilizing crisis management training.
- Monitors critical systems such as fire alarms, generators, elevators, and emergency call boxes.
- Performs threats and hazard assessments by both foot and vehicle patrol.
- Acts as a liaison with local law enforcement.
Qualifications
High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher required upon hireNo experience requiredDriver - Valid driver's license and 21 years of age required upon hire ANDCPI - Crisis Prevention Institute certification required within 90 days of employment in this position ORMOAB - Management of Aggressive Behavior required within 90 days of employment in this positionSkills and Attributes
