Class A CDL Shuttle Driver

$30.54 / Hour + Union Benefits

3rd Shift 8 : 00PM - 4 : 00AM

Admiral Metals is seeking an experienced Class A CDL Shuttle Driver to join our fleet team in Woburn, MA. The driver will be responsible for safely operating a tractor trailer with an automatic transmission. This is a roundtrip route, drop-and-swap from Woburn, MA to Sparta, NJ.

This is a union position starting at $30.54 / hour with daily overtime after 8 hours and double time after 12 hours.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience driving a tractor trailer, a valid Class A license, and clean MVR.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Safely operate a tractor trailer to transport goods.
  • Secure loads and perform safety checks.
  • Follow all DOT / FMSCA requirements and hours of service regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Adhere to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Communicate with delivery personnel and team members.
  • Represent Admiral Metals in a professional manner.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent, preferred
  • Valid Class A CDL license
  • Clean driving record / MVR
  • Proven track record of driver safety
  • Two years of work experience operating a tractor trailer
  • Effective communication skills
  • Must meet physical requirements of position
  • Must pass physical, human performance evaluation, and drug test
  • Willingness to work overtime

  • Ability to lift, pull / push up to 50lbs
  • Ability to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis
  • Ability to use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements
