Equipment Operator Fresno, Ca
Position Summary : As an Equipment Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of products throughout the distribution center. You will operate various types of powered industrial trucks (PIT), including standup forklifts, order selectors, reach trucks, powered pallet jacks, and dock stockers. Most tasks are completed using an RF scanner to maintain accuracy and productivity.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently (certification provided)
- Conduct daily equipment inspections prior to use
- Follow all safety protocols, including hazard recognition, housekeeping, and proper use of safety gear
- Report equipment malfunctions, property damage, and safety concerns to supervisors
- Accurately pick, pack, and restock merchandise using established procedures
- Sort, count, and receive inventory with precision
- Transport products to and from pallet racks using material handling equipment
- Build pallets of cartons for shipment using conveyors
- Load and unload trucks
- Organize warehouse storage areas effectively
- Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards
- Use RF scanners to perform tasks such as picking, packing, receiving, and moving inventory
- Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, standing, walking, and kneeling throughout shifts
- Utilize visual and auditory senses to maintain safety and accuracy
- Work overtime as needed, including weekends
- Follow instructions accurately and work well in a team environment
- Communicate effectively and understand written and verbal instructions in English
- Demonstrate flexibility in daily assignments and assist with general warehouse tasks as needed
Qualifications :
Must be 18 years or olderAbility to complete training and obtain equipment certificationBasic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)High school diploma or GED preferred1+ years of experience in a warehouse or equipment operation role preferredFamiliarity with RF scanners and basic computer skills is a plusWorking Conditions :
Exposure to loud noise and variable temperaturesOccasional work at heightsDusty environments and narrow aisles or trailersMay be exposed to strong scents from products such as cosmetics or fragrancesSchedules : Working 4x10 second shift or 3x12 weekend days
