Overview
We are seeking an experienced Optical Calibration Engineer to join our team of talented optical engineers to play a crucial role in ensuring the precision and reliability of optical measurements. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the precision and accuracy of optical test instruments and systems through the development and application of meticulous calibration processes. This role requires extensive knowledge in optical engineering, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering the highest quality test instruments to the silicon photonics market.
Responsibilities
Execute and refine calibration procedures for various optical instruments, including lasers, optical power meters, polarizers, and cameras.
Analyze calibration data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas of improvement. Apply statistical methods to ensure the reliability and validity of calibration results.
Maintain comprehensive records of calibration strategy, tests, results, and corrective actions. Prepare detailed reports and manuals for calibration processes.
Implement and enforce quality assurance protocols to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Provide training and guidance to technical staff on proper calibration techniques and the use of optical instruments. Develop training materials and workshops.
