Associate Program Manager - HVAC Energy Efficiency
Location : Northern NJ - candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to New Jersey to be considered
To support our growth, we are currently seeking an HVAC Energy Efficiency Associate Program Manager for our Utility Programs and Services (UPS) division to lead and grow ICF's energy efficiency programs in New Jersey. You will lead the development and management of our HVAC Midstream energy efficiency program, build relationships with clients, mentor junior team members, design / implement program strategies and plans, as well as develop and execute marketing and recruiting strategies.

What you will be doing :
Program design, including identification, analysis and selection of appropriate energy efficiency measures and development of effective delivery strategiesLead a team towards hitting goals and managing performanceDevelop relationships and partnerships with major local, regional, and national market partners, through in-person and virtual interactionsEngage market partners through the application processProgram implementation including development and execution of detailed and effective implementation and management plans, quality control, or program evaluationManage program forecasts, goals, and budgets along with providing regulatory supportAnalyzing market trends and technologies to optimize existing programsCollaborating with regional and national teamsDay-to-day management of program team members, contractors, and distributorsBuilding and maintaining relationships while driving businesses towards the implementation of energy performance improvements through the use of existing market knowledge and proven energy efficient technologiesGoal achievement and reporting of results to clientsRequired local travel within New Jersey up to 30% of the time for client meetings, trade ally meetings, conferences and other eventsWhat we need you to have (minimum qualifications) :
Bachelor's degree in Business, Environmental Science, Engineering, Energy Management, Sustainability, or related discipline (or applicants can substitute one year of related experience for one year of education)3+ years of experience developing designing and administering successful energy efficiency and demand reduction programs for utilities, state energy offices, state / local governments, and / or regional non-profits and / or related experienceWhat we would like you to have (preferred qualifications) :
Experience in people managementFamiliarity with HVAC and heat pump technologiesExperience with the energy efficiency market in New JerseyKnowledge of local laws and NJ residential and commercial building and energy conservation codesKnowledge of sustainable building practices and technologiesAbility to manage client relationships and communicate effectivelyPrevious experience managing junior staffMS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
