Join a busy adult cardiac surgery practice in Lexington, KY! Baptist Health Medical Group is seeking a highly qualified BE / BC cardiothoracic surgeon interested in doing both Cardiac and Thoracic surgery! Basic cardiothoracic surgical practice with emphasis on CABG, Valve Surgeries & Lung Resection. The ideal surgeon will have proven excellent technical and interpersonal skills. We are looking for a highly motivated individual willing to expand the practice and be team oriented. We encourage new graduates from recognized fellowship training programs!
- 2 MDs and 8 APPs (5 PAs and 3 NPs)
- Work 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month
- Call 7a-7a
- The surgeon will engage in a busy surgical case load supporting the cardiac surgery.
- Join a collegial practice with mentorship by senior surgeons and a great support staff.
- APP's in the Group :
APPs have a rotating call scheduled with the MDs.
APPs assist in the OR. 1 or 2 assist depending on the case.NPs are scheduled in office seeing PTs ( post-ops and f / ups )MDs see new PT consults.1 NP is assigned to the Hospital to do rounds and ordering test.Currently using locums to help with the workload.Census- 20-40 PTsMentorship is available.14 office staff (including 2 full time schedulers).As an employee of Baptist Health Medical Group, physicians receive competitive compensation packages with a comprehensive benefits program.
