About The Position

Job Title : Respiratory Therapist

Profession : Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Specialty : RRT

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12 Hours

Experience : 4 years preferred; open to candidates with 2+ years of experience

License : Valid RRT certification and state license required

Certifications : BLS required; ACCS preferred

Must-Have :

• Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Experience in adult critical care, emergency department, and various respiratory procedures

Description :

This position involves a clinical review and an auto offer process, where the manager will make an offer following the passing of the clinical review.

The selected candidate will be expected to float between sections on occasion.

The role requires the ability to work nights and the flexibility to work either 36 or 48 hours per week.

Responsibilities include adult critical care, aerosol setup, intubation assistance, and interpretation of arterial blood gases.

Candidates should be proficient in performing various respiratory procedures, including tracheostomy care, bi-level positive airway pressure therapy, and emergency response techniques.

The role encourages proactive work practices and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Candidates will be expected to have experience with Epic charting systems and be able to demonstrate competency in the required skills.

This position requires the successful completion of any necessary modules during the assignment period.

References will be required, and candidates must be prepared to float within their scope of practice.

Previous charge experience is preferred, although not mandatory.
